How Does Invisalign Work?

Invisalign is a teeth-straightening treatment that uses a series of clear, custom-made aligners to fix your teeth in their correct positions. By manipulating your bite and using tiny incremental adjustments to the aligners, Invisalign can help you achieve straight teeth in as little as 12 weeks.

Invisalign in Orange Park is relatively painless and has very few side effects when compared to other teeth-straightening treatments. However, like any new cosmetic treatment, there is always the potential for minor discomfort and some residual alignment issues after treatment is completed. If you experience any problems with your Invisalign treatment, please do not hesitate to consult with your dentist or dental therapist for updated guidance.

If you're ready to start seeing the benefits of Invisalign treatment, schedule an appointment today! How is Invisalign different from braces?

Invisalign aligners are clear metal aligners that follow the natural curvature of your teeth. They are made out of smooth, flexible plastic and are designed to hug your teeth to gently change their shape. After a few weeks of wearing them, they will begin to straighten the way your teeth moved before you began wearing Invisalign aligners.

Each set of 3–8 aligners will be adjusted to stop movement in one direction and gradually reposition the tooth in the desired direction. This process may take several months for some patients but is much quicker than traditional metal braces.
