One of the greatest features of the KBO Breeze is it comes with a powerful three amp charger which allows the bike to recharge faster than many other electric bikes. If you’re looking for a commuter electric bike that needs a quick recharge time, this may be one contender to consider. The 768 W hour 48 V battery on the KBO Breeze provides riders with adequate range for commuting around town. If you look at the company website you’ll see 55+ miles of range is advertised for this electric bike, but that is under ideal conditions. Most riders who are looking to have a little bit of fun on the bike are going to experience less range then this, but it would not be unreasonable to expect 40 miles of range if you pedal a little bit. Another feature that makes the KBO Breeze a good commuter option is the large battery comes out of the frame. This is convenient for multiple reasons.
If you ride a bike to work, you can simply unplug it from the frame of the bike and bring the battery up to your office and recharge it. Even if you completely drain the battery on the way to work you can still recharge it in five hours and be on your way. Another thing that’s nice about the detachable battery on the KBO Breeze is if you need to carry the bike upstairs on the way to work or if you need to load the bike up onto a rack. Simply removing the battery from the bicycle will reduce the weight of the KBO Breeze by 10 pounds approximately. This is significant because the KBO Breeze weighs 62 pounds from the box, so it is a bit on the hefty side for an electric bicycle. Of course there are many other electric bikes that weigh more than this, but there’s also quite a few that are lighter.
